Page Costs

For recording and indexing documents into the County Recorder’s Office the following standard page fees apply. If you are mailing in documents include the original document with appropriate seals, and meeting all required document standards. Should documents not be within standardization guidelines, an additional $20 fee must be included with the payment. A check or money order for the appropriate recording amount must be included; made out to Williams County Recorder’s Office. If you wish for the recorded document to be returned, a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) must be supplied. Recorded documents should be processed and returned within three (3) business days.

Ohio House Bill 95 increased the cost of recording fees, effective August 1, 2003. $50 million of these increased fees will benefit the Ohio Housing Trust Fund. Anything over $50 million helps to balance the state’s budget.
